Patrik Degerman - new aftermarket manager with safety in focus
– I am proud to be part of SMP where safety is in focus. This is the most important thing in our industry and it feels exciting to join SMP which is at the forefront when it comes to that area, says Patrik Degerman, new aftermarket manager at SMP Parts.
With a background as a mechanic and service manager, Patrik has good knowledge of both the industry and the products, which he sees as a big benefit in his role today.
– Having worked practically with the company's products with end-users, I have a good insight into what working with service really means. It is valuable to me in my role today, where I constantly work to increase the efficiency and quality of our service.
Patrik is responsible for the aftermarket department which provides spare parts, technical support, warranties and training of service providers. The goal of the department is to quickly address and resolve any problems that arise and provide prompt and professional service. To get there, he means that the right mental attitude is important.
To solve the customer's problem quickly and correctly is something that shows how SMP really is as a supplier and partner. I am not afraid of being challenged but rather spurred on by seeing problems as challenges and solving them, always with the customer's best in focus.
Patrik long had the idea of working with the products that SMP manufactures and when the opportunity opened up the choice to join the company was easy.
– I have always had a good eye for SMP and the high quality and safety that I have seen their products show over the years. Joining the company in this specific time and space feels perfect as we are facing an exciting growth phase. I really look forward to working with my colleagues to develop SMP further, in Sweden as well as the world, Patrik concludes.
