MVI, Merchant Venture Investments
MVI is an investment group, investing in profitable companies, in high growth markets, which have significant growth potential. Normally MVI takes a long term majority stake in profitable and established companies, without any predetermined exit timeline. The MVI mission is to develop each portfolio company by providing experience, targeted competence, funding and focus.
The investment team and the MVI partner network proactively support their portfolio of companies to maximize their potential to create value. MVI consists of about 100 entrepreneurs and industry leaders, who over the last 20 years have invested equity in private companies, across many different industries, with a primary focus on the Swedish market. The MVI partners are experienced senior managers who share a common passion for business strategy and execution.
MVI was founded 1992 as a network for private investors which over time has been developed and extended. Over the years MVI has made over 100 investments totaling over €200m in value. Since 2011 investments are driven and organized by MVI Equity AB. On behalf of MVI Partners, MVI Equity is responsible for identifying, analyzing, presenting and managing the investment companies. MVI Equity focuses on buy-outs of profitable companies with solid operational performance.
MVI owns 57 percent of SMP Parts AB.
Fouriertransform is a state-owned venture capital company, founded in 2009, tasked with strengthening the Swedish industrial cluster’s international competitiveness on a commercial basis.
The strategy is to invest capital and be an active owner in manufacturing-related companies with innovative and commercially viable products.
The mission includes taking an active role as an owner in order to help to ensure the structured and successful commercialization and continued growth of the portfolio companies. Fouriertransform contributes expertise by placing qualified representatives on the boards of all of the companies in which it holds an interest.
Fouriertransform owns 43 percent of SMP Parts AB.
